Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples (born Aubrey Peeples) is an American singer-actress. She was awarded the best actress award for her performances in Nashville The 2012 drama in which she played Layla Grant. She also won the award in Sharknado 2013, where she portrayed Claudia Shepard. The actress also had the role of the title character in the feature film Jem and the Holograms, (2015). Aubrey Peeples' parents Wendy and Ashley raised her at Lake Mary Florida. Also, she has an older sister, Ally. Aubrey was a part of Orlando Repertory Theatre ten years throughout her childhood. She graduated Lake Mary Preparatory School, where she spoke as the valedictory for the 2012 class. Harvard University initially accepted her application, but later agreed to permit her another entry since she was cast in "Nashville". Peeples appeared in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and had a recurring role in Necessary Roughness (1991). She was seen in television movies Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective as well as The Good Mother. She played a prominent role on the Nashville series in which she was Layla Grant. Peeples discussed her bipolar illness during an interview with NKD Magazine. Indiewire identified Peeples in September 2014 as one of the nation's top young actors.
